OPERATION WISH LIST


We understand that adoption is not always an option for everyone.  With hectic schedules, time and commitment such as an adoption just aren't possible.  However, there are many good citizens who still want to make a difference in some form.

Operation Wish List was implimented, giving citizens an opportunity to provide care packages to Veterans, Homeless Veterans and Deployed Service Members without the commitment of adopting. 

Sadly, the number of Veterans and Deployed signing up to be adopted outweighs the number of Angels signing up to adopt.  Even more sadly is the fact that we have many homeless Veterans, that although are down on their luck, are not eligible for VA assistance because they have no medical conditions necessitating that assistance.  Examples of a homeless wish list would be to fill a need for a coat, gloves and a hat, a gift certificate to a local restaurant that will provide several hot meals, a gift certificate to a local hotel in their area providing them with warmth and comfort temporarily until we can set them up with other assistance, or just a care package of hygenic items and clothing.  Examples of a Veteran or Deployed Wish List are magazines, t-shirts, music, hygenic items, snacks or any other comfort items that will bring a moment of joy in their lives.
